Thinking about that all-important all crazy must do once in a lifetime Disney vacation in Orlando this year? You can and should go, but here are a few simple things to keep in mind before you even leave your house:
1) Plan your trip ahead of time!
Decades ago, you could get away with just showing up at Disney World and being spontaneous. This is totally no longer the case. This place is vast and it will totally overwhelm you and your precious family if you do not show up absolutely prepared. Obviously circumstances such as rain and closures or delays etc. require a bit of flexibility but you really need a master plan in order to maximize your enjoyment these days.
2) BUY ahead of time.
Shop around and be smart. Looks for deals like these Disney Ticket deals where buying ahead of time can save you a ton of money. Disney World is one of the world’s most wonderful places but it can turn into a huge money pit. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be that way. Shop early and shop smart and you will have money left over for things you may realize you really wanted after all, like some of that amazing fine dining, for example.
3) Understand who is going and why
People mostly go to Disney World as a family, but who exactly is in the family? What ages and personalities and tastes are you dealing with here? The good news is, Disney World is pretty much guaranteed to have a little bit of something for everybody. But in order for the plans you are making to be relevant, you need to take those tastes and preferences fully into account. It’s very easy to leave one of your loved ones out of the picture by accident, so to speak, but that person WILL notice their preferences haven’t been thought of, guaranteed. So prevent such a thing beforehand by being thorough.
4) Remember Your Fastpass.
Fastpass is limited and valuable and unless you’re one of the privileged ones who can afford to stay in one of the Disney resorts, you get access to it 30 days beforehand. That day 30 days before day is absolutely clutch for you and your loved ones; you should IMMEDIATELY use your fastpasses while the selection is still good.
Have you noticed that all of these things have to do with adequate and proper preparation? That sums it up in a nutshell. Your Disney experience will be magical no matter what but it will be that much better the more prepared you are. Enjoy and see you in Orlando!
